The 9th annual Fisher's Tech Show is moving from Boise, Idaho to Spokane, Washington for 2020! Held on April 16, 2020 at the Spokane Convention Center. Design Thinking: A New Way of Problem-Solving
As the Director of Leadership Training and Development for Gonzaga University’s School of Leadership Studies, Rachelle designs and facilitates programs that accompany people on their leadership journey. With offerings such as leadership assessments, coaching, webinars, conferences, certificates, and intensive development programs, her office has reached over one hundred local organizations and thousands of individuals. One of Rachelle's particular areas of expertise is design thinking, a human-centered approach to innovation and problem-solving. In addition to leading numerous company workshops on design thinking, she recently co-facilitated an eight-month design thinking project on behalf of the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Rachelle teaches at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and recently completed a term as President of the Gonzaga Staff Assembly. Outside of her full-time role, she is completing a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on emotional intelligence. Her leadership mantra can be summarized in the following proverb: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

MacKenzie Brown brings both technical and research experience to her position as a Security Crisis Moderator at Microsoft for the Detection and Response Team. There, she works with customers, taking a deeper dive into their security operations and strategic posture, using the current threat landscape and MS tools to measure and train their incident response capability. In her previous role at Optiv, Brown focused on providing clients with proactive and reactive services in order to assess their incident response capability, in addition to R&D experience, developing enterprise security program frameworks and strategic deliverables which provide model, direction, and development for implementing security solutions against emerging threats. Brown leverages her program development skills with her expertise and charismatic disposition for developing business, partner, and client relationships. When she’s not traveling for work, Brown resides in Boise, Idaho, where she participates in local information security organization chapters, regularly contributes to a column for the Ethical Hackers Network, and where she has founded and runs the Idaho non-profit the Ms. GreyHat Organization; which focuses on transforming the culture of cybersecurity through education, awareness, and empowerment initiatives.

During Chris’s thirteen years at the helm, the 83 year-old Fisher’s more than sextupled in size and received numerous awards including: Idaho’s Best Places to work the last eleven years straight, Inc. 5000 fastest growing U.S. companies four years, Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce 2013 Small Business of the Year, U.S. Chamber’s Top 100 U.S. Small Businesses of the Year in 2014, and Idaho Business Review’s 2017, 2018 and 2019 Reader Rankings as both the Best Office Equipment Company and the Best IT & Tech Support Services in Idaho. Chris was also selected as one of the 2014 CEOs of Influence by the Idaho Business Review.
Chris is a Boise native with past experience managing technology projects for organizations around the world. Chris worked for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting) as a consultant and manager of strategic systems implementations.
Chris received an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and graduated Summa cum Laude with a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Idaho.
Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Youth Ranch, is the President for the Copier Dealers' Association, serves on the Canon Dealer Advisory Council, is the Honorary Commander of the 124th Communications Flight of the Idaho Air National Guard, is the Past President of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Idaho Chapter, served on the Board of Directors for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, is a past Executive Board Member and Past President of the Board of Directors for the Discovery Center of Idaho, serves on the University of Idaho’s Special Advisory Group to the President, serves on the Board for the Idaho Technology Council, is a member of the Vistage CEO leadership group, and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Boise Art Museum.

Dr. James (Jim) Alves-Foss is a cyber security researcher with over 25 years experience in the design and analysis of secure systems. He has conducted research into secure system architectures, formal methods, network security, cryptographic protocols, embedded system security, operating system security, and computer forensics. He is the Director and co-founder of the University of Idaho's Center for Secure and Dependable Systems (CSDS), a research unit of the university that has been conducting cyber security research and development for government and industry for over 20 years. Notably he was team lead on the 2-person CSDS team that qualified as finalists in the DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge (2014-2016), an automated cybersecurity competition, outperforming many larger and better funded teams.

Gravity Jack’s name is both a nod to where we’ve come from and a reminder of how we approach each and every day. Our founders are skydivers (“Gravity”) and their passion for challenge, excitement and ‘pushing the envelope’ mirrors the way we go about all we do. Jack was our founder’s grandfather. He was an Army / Navy golden glove boxer – a tough, hard working and ‘outside the mold’ guy (with some great tattoos). Despite his grit, Jack was unashamed to stand for what was right, regardless of the consequences. It’s an ethical cornerstone that we live by in the way that we go about our work, our relationships and each other. Our company's alternate logo (above) is called ‘The Boxer’ and is inspired by our namesake. It is used on occasion, internally, as a reminder of our roots.
Gravity Jack was founded in 2009 by Luke Richey, Jennifer Richey and Terry Hoy. It was founded on the vision of creating a software company around a then-infant technology called augmented reality. Leasing a small, single office in Liberty Lake, the team began offering fully-custom software development services, ranging from mobile apps and websites to custom algorithms and hardware solutions. Over the next few years, the Gravity Jack team quickly grew and relocated into a more spacious office in downtown Spokane.

Gravity Jack will be presenting their SIMSAFE virtual reality fire safety training application. A dynamic virtual reality environment that not only educates users on how to handle a fire extinguisher during a variety of common household fires, but encourages them to extinguish the fire themselves within a safe setting.
Additionally, Gravity Jack will have a variety of augmented reality solutions on-site. These executions will demonstrate how AR technology can and does have a massive impact on business marketing efforts, manufacturing processes, and everything in between!
